about.

Marcel's experience spans architectural design, interiors and development, with projects ranging from cultural and civic buildings to residential and mixed-use work. He is interested in cross-border exchange and in working with partners, developers and clients on projects with a clear ambition.

He has worked with Ole Scheeren, Eike Becker and Hadi Teherani in Berlin. At Ole Scheeren’s office, Marcel contributed to the design of the Guardian Auction Centre in Beijing and the concept for a 150-metre mixed-use tower in central London. His work there also included the King Power MahaNakhon Tower in Bangkok, the Olympicopolis concept for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, the Axel Springer Headquarters competition in Berlin, and the Axiom twin towers in Shanghai for Tishman Speyer.

He later spent four years at Berlin-based developer Archigon, gaining experience in project development, feasibility and the coordination of planning and delivery.

In Beijing, he co-founded PWD Architecture and served as its director. The practice collaborated with AREP on the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank headquarters in Beijing, alongside transport-oriented development projects and public buildings across China.

Marcel began his career in Chile, working with architects Marco Polidura and Iñaki Volante on the Huanchacas Museum in Antofagasta and a number of private houses.

He welcomes conversations about considered, ambitious work across borders and disciplines.
